The 2022/23 season has already been jam-packed with excitement and fun! But as we begin to reach the end of the season, it's important to note just how much we've got to come. So, grab your diaries and make a note of all these important events:

Conversations are in the process right now to fill up the month of April and May with some further games. These games will prepare the teams for competition in September.

L1 Coaching Course
We are excited to announce on the 16th of April our very own D3 Men’s Head Coach, Sam Fitzpatrick, who will be hosting the club's first-ever Introduction to Coaching course. Commitment-wise, the course is one day in person (a mix between classroom and on-the-court teaching) and a few hours online (to be done before the day). The course usually costs £99 per person, but as a club, we have decided to subsidise the cost drastically. You would only pay £40, and we will cover the rest. Each candidate will also receive a free whistle upon completion of the course and PBC shirt if deciding you’d like to help coach. Basketball Camp
Utilising our partnership with UCLan, they have agreed to host our Easter half term camp. The camp will run 9am – 3pm (drop off from 8:30) at UCLan Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre and will cost £25 per day. Players will be required to bring their own lunch and won’t be able to leave the premises during the camp. The camps are ran by UCLan Basketball members, many of which compete in our D3 Men’s Team. The camp dates are below:

Tuesday 11th April – Ages 8-12 Mixed boys/girls
Wednesday 12th April - Ages 13-15 Mixed boys/girls
Thursday 13th April - Ages 16-19 Men’s

Presentation Evening
To round off what is sure to be an amazing year, all Preston Basketball Club members will be invited to join us at PNE on the 10th June to celebrate all of the clubs achievements. From the youngest at U9's to the National League Seniors, all will have their time in the spotlight to look at what you've achieved. Alongside all of the awards, food will be served on the night, with a quiz and other activities occurring too. With almost 200 members on register, we're certain it'll be an exceptional night. Tickets for the evening will be going online soon.

And that's it! We're constantly working behind the scenes to improve the quality of basketball you receive from us and we're hoping that will improve drastically in the 2023/24 season. We have BIG plans for the future and we look forward to sharing those plans with you soon!
