Basketball England 2023 Award Nominations
Basketball England Awards: Regional nominations open for 2023 honours.
Formerly known as Basketball England's Volunteer Awards, these awards were created to recognise the selfless dedication and efforts of various members, organisations and clubs across the basketball community. There are 13 awards within the 10 BE regions, covering all aspects of the sport. Three nominees from across the regions will be shortlisted to receive the national award. Below is a list of available nominations:
Volunteer of the Year - an individual who has given up their free time to help make a lasting impact and grow the game.
Young Volunteer of the Year - An individual aged under 21 who has given up their time to help make a lasting impact and grow the game.
Children's Coach of the Year - A coach who has helped bring young people into the game and/or helped inspire the next generation of young players with an engaging and fun approach.
Coach of the Year - A coach that has helped players achieve their potential and/or stay in the game for it to become a lifelong activity.
Community Club of the Year - A club that goes above and beyond in the services and provision it provides for its local community.
Referee of the Year - A referee who has made the most significant contribution and improvement to basketball officiating during the season.
Young Official of the Year - An individual aged under 21 who strives to improve and develop their ability and experience throughout the year.
Table Official of the Year - An individual who has helped to improve the standard of officiating.
Statistician of the Year - A statistician that has exceeded their requirements to help grow the game and roles of statisticians.
All Girls Inspiring Female of the Year - A female (any age) who has become a role model in the game and inspired others.
Teacher of the Year - A teacher who has acted as a basketball ambassador within their school and/or community, both in school and on their own time.
Education Institution of the Year - An EI that helped nurture an environment for its pupils to participate in the game and achieve their potential.
Media/Photographer of the Year - An individual who has provided outstanding digital coverage of the game.
Judgment is made based on the quality of applications instead of the number of applications. The nomination window closes on 15th January, so get your nominations in early. Nominations can be made by clicking on the link below:
