The club is excited to welcome our Junior players, parents and supporters to our 24/25 End of Season Awards Evening.
This year the awards will take place at the Garner Hotel, Preston New Road, Samlesbury, PR5 0UL. The hotel has plenty of parking available on site and is easily accessible just off the M6. It takes place on Friday 16th May with doors opening at 6pm for 6:25pm start of the awards. Entrance to the awards will be on the side entrance with the event taking place in the Canberra Suite. The dress code is smart casual and we encourage our players to look smart for photos taken on the evening. Soft drinks including cordial, water, tea and coffee will be provided and we have arranged for Lolipops Bamber Bridge to provide a vegan and halal pick and mix table for the children. Please note in order to keep costs down there will be no food served so please eat before arriving.
The awards will recognise 4-6 players in each team for their efforts over the past 12 months and we will also celebrate several club awards during the evening as well as thanking our volunteers. All players from our Under 7, 9 & 11 teams will receive a medal and every team will have the opportunity for a team photo after their awards are presented.
This will be the first year where we welcome our Under 7 players to the awards so to make sure parents can be confident attending we will be arranging for the Under 7, 9 & 11 awards to be presented before 8pm.
On arrival our families can meet in the foyer area of the Canberra Suite where soft drinks and the pick and mix can be enjoyed and raffle tickets purchased. The hotel bar will be serving alcoholic beverages and there is a lounge area with pool table and sofas should anyone want to spread out. The awards room will be slightly different to previous years in a theatre format rather than round tables and we will invite our players to sit in their teams on one side of the room and families on the other side to help with award logistics. Each team will be introduced with a short video of the highlights of their season and each coach will say a few words on the team before presenting the awards. Award winners will be photographed and the full squad will be invited for a photo which will be shared after the event. There will be several photo opportunities with coaches and team mates to celebrate our community. The event is expected to finish around 10pm with the hotel bar available til late.
