Learn to play basketball for free!

Andrew Thrower17 Mar - 18:12

Come and join us as we launch 2 new basketball sessions for Under 12s and Under 16s

Following on from the recent announcement that Preston Basketball will be partnering with Vault, the Preston City Centre Youth Zone, we are delighted to confirm that from launch on Wednesday 18th March until the end of April 26, basketball sessions will be free to try at Vault.

When?

The sessions will be coached by our fantastic coaches and will run as follows every Wednesday:

5:30-6:30pm - Under 12s (Ages 8-12 / Year 3-7)
6:30pm-8pm - Under 16s (Ages 13-16 / Year 8-11)

Where?

Sessions take place at Vault, Preston on Tithebarn Street PR1 1DN. The venue is accessed by foot locally until the roadworks are complete later this year with the main drop off point being Lancaster Road by the entrance of the Guild Hall complex. The nearest parking is available at Preston Bus Station (at a cost).

How?

To be eligible to play, parents must register on our website at prestonbasketball.com. From April onwards, having a child's Vault registration will be needed to access the sessions. Memberships are free for all Preston Basketball members and a code will be provided to sign up shortly.

Entry & What to Bring

Please be aware that the Youth zone is a participant only venue for those aged 8-19. Parents can accompany children to the main entrance but aren't permitted inside the admission area for safeguarding purposes. For those attending, wearing comfortable clothes is important as is wearing clean trainers. Bringing water to keep hydrated is also advised. On arrival please tell reception you are with Preston Basketball and they will direct the participants to the court.

If there are any questions or to register please email prestonbasketballclub@gmail.com.

We look forward to seeing lots of new faces at the sessions.
