Following on from several conversations with players and parents graduating from our Under 16 team this off season, the directors have assessed the viability of an offering for the college age players who want to continue playing for the club prior to entering the Senior set up. We are delighted to announce the outcome is a new team offering for our Under 18 players.

The team will be focussed on experienced basketball players who are in Year 12 & 13 of their education and it will compete in the Basketball England Regional League. The fixtures will be released in due course but this will offer a competitive outlet for Under 18 players against similar age players prior to competing in the open Senior age group.

The training sessions will take place on Tuesday evenings between 8-10pm at St Augustines Building of Cardinal Newman College and they will be run by Head Coach Ciaran Dulley assisted by Coach Chris Allen. Ciaran is the current Head Coach of Cardinal Newman College team which offers the college players an additional competitive outlet and for them to be joined by other players from the area to compete against other clubs in the North West. Fixtures will be played on Saturday or Sundays with the fixture list to be released shortly.

August & Trials

During August the Summer programme will continue with the training night moving to Tuesday evenings to align with the start of the coming season. This is also open to Under 19s for the month of August. The Summer pass is available for August here. This is priced at a reduced cost to the season at £30 for 4 sessions.

September

From September onwards the direct debits will be released for the season where players selected to the squad will be expected to sign up to cover the costs of the season. Training will continue on Tuesday evening until the end of the season in April/May.

We'd like to wish Coach Ciaran and Chris good luck for the forthcoming season and are excited to see the team compete and grow.
