Details of our well deserved winners

Over 100 players, coaches, officials and parents ascended on Deepdale Stadium's 'Invincibles Lounge' for our annual awards evening, all contributing to a great success.

There were awards for all teams and age groups, including Players' Player, Coaches Player, Most Improved Player, Defensive Player and 6th Man awards. These were given alongside our prestigious individual awards; ACE Award, Volunteer of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Special Achievement Award, Chair Person Award as well as our inaugural Hall of Fame inductees.

After an opening speech by our Chairperson Michelle, food and an amazing quiz made by our very own Shaun, the awards evening was well underway, with all present eager to know the deserving recipients.

Under 12's
The first age group to be recognised by the club were the Under 12's, led by Coach Shaun. A group who have come a long way since September where they began with just 1 single player. They now sit at 15 strong and a proving a really talented bunch! Their awards went to;

Most Improved - Benji Cockburn
Coaches Player - Finlay Hamerton
Players' Player - Theo Westwood

Under 16's
Next up to recieve their awards were the Under 16's team, led by Coach Christos. This team also had their struggles having been withdrawn from National League competition prior to the season starting due to a lack of players. Training sessions now see over 12 players consistently with new member arriving each and every week. Their awards were given to;

6th Man - Declan Gallagher
Defensive Player - Johnathan Graham
Most Improved - Amaan Farooqi
Coaches Player - Nathan Holmes
Players' Player - Geevan Glabes

Under 18's
The last of our junior section teams to be celebrated were the Under 18's, led by Head Coach Sam. A team who started the season with over 15 players, unfortunately decreased due to injuries, work commitments and studies. They entered the National Basketball League at Conference level and finished the season strong with a predominantly Under 17 squad to finish - an exciting prospect looking ahead to the 2019/20 season! Their winners were;

6th Man - Tom Harrison
Defensive Player - Mateen Keshan
Most Improved - Mathew Sutherland
Coaches Player - Calum Munro
Players' Player - Renaldas Samanavicius

Senior 2nd Team
The awards evening came only a few weeks after Pride swooped the MABL Play-Offs competition. The Senior 2nd Team finished the league in 5th place, qualifying for the Play-Off weekend. There, they won both the semi-final and final in convincing fashion, earning the Play-Off winners trophy for the second straight season, led by Coach Neil. Their awards winners were;

6th Man - Shaun Hoyle
Defensive player - Andrew Thrower
Most Improved - Joel Hunter
Coaches Player - Ewan Maynard
Players' Player - Sam Fitzpatrick

Senior 1st Team
The 1st team's story is one of redemption and revival under the lead of Coach Rick. After starting the season in the Championship division following relegation form the highest division, the Senior 1st Team went on a tear, winning all but one game, and sweeping the Play-Off competition too, completing the MABL double of league and Play-Off winners. Their winners were;

Most Improved - Danny Farnell
Coaches Player - Isaac Litchmore
Players' Player - Jamie Defoe

The club would like to say a massive THANK YOU to all who attended and made the night fantastic. Congratulations to the award recipients.
