Both Preston Pride Senior teams start their 19/20 season campaigns...

... with away fixtures on Tuesday 1st October. With both teams having been promoted last season, the club will certainly be tested against stronger opposition.

The first team head back to the Manchester Area Basketball League Premier Division after an unbeaten season in the league, culminating in a playoff win in May. The competition will certainly be tougher this season, but the team did a fantastic job building togetherness last season and have strengthened the squad during the Summer so are feeling positive about the challenge. They travel to Mavericks first up in Bury, who themselves have strengthened during the Summer, especially given the withdrawl from the league of Bury Blue Devils.

The seconds go into the MABL Championship and will see a number of familiar teams from the last 2 seasons where the team beat 3 of this seasons opponents to win back to back playoff finals. Firts up are Manchester Heat at the National Performance Centre, home of Team GB. It will certainly be a tough season ahead but again with some Summer pickups and a healthy Senior club as a whole, there is cautious optimism.

With the start of the league upon the club, the senior set up is in a very competitive position with 30 players registered across 2 teams. A number of players have joined the club following the highly successful inagural Preston Summer Basketball League and the over subscribed Summer Scrimmage sessions. New players are always welcome and should you wish to join this growing club, then please don't hesitate to get in touch at prestonpridecbc@gmail.com or via our website or FB page.
