New Year new result for the 2nds

The New Year brought with it the chance to create an uptick in form and the visit of the division's bottom club was a perfect opportunity to put right a very poor defensive display against Burnley and an unusually difficult shooting night against Canute which left us in a league position we're unhappy with moving into 2023.

It took us some time to gain momentum in the game despite a fast-scoring start from Josh but it was only a matter of time. By the end of the first quarter we'd opened up a 6-point lead and never looked back. The depth of our squad told and the opposition had no answer to the inside dominance on the boards and the scoring of Yugo and Josh. The third quarter was near perfection, as we conceded only 4, totally demoralising Langley. Everyone chipped in on the scoring and it bodes well for the second half of the season and tougher tests to come.
